Sooooooooooo are you wondering how I liked these? Well, I am too! I haven't had one yet. Why? Two reasons: First, I made a "no baked goods" New Year's resolution (after an, ahem, bit of a problem with said baked goods in December) and I intend to keep it until my birthday (which is in 2 1/2 weeks...not that I'm counting or anything, haha). The second reason I didn't break down and have one...after all, what's 2 1/2 weeks, really? I have been starving for the last couple of days. I mean ravenous, stomach-growlingly hungry. And it's not like I have been doing anything differently - I'm eating plenty, believe me. I just didn't trust myself to actually stop once I had a taste of that sugary, albeit low-fat, goodness. So I will wait. And then only have one when I am in a good place, eating-wise. And I will share with my family. So never fear - these wonderful donuts WILL be eaten...just not today.

In other news, I cannot tell you all how much I appreciate your comments on my Dietversary/Blogiversary post! Y'all are too, too kind, really. Thank you so much! A new reader, Sandy, tagged me to say six things that make me happy, so here goes - oh and it goes without saying that family, friends and health are all there, so I'll just make this fun:
- The way Paco the Wonder Dog goes to bed. We have to ask him "do you want to go night-night?" - only then will he run to his crate and wait for his bedtime snack (a few pieces of dry cat food - nectar of the gods to him) - he eats it, and then he's down for the night. Wish my kids would have been this easy to get to bed when they were little!
- Burt's Bees Lip Balm - LOVE LOVE LOVE - I have them stashed everywhere!
- Having the option of trying on clothes in a regular store, having them fit, and NOT buying them. Such a difference from buying something because it was the only thing that fit and I needed clothes.
- My DVR - I love watching TV on my own time, not just when the programs air - and best of all, skipping through the commercials!
- Getting on the waitlist for a new book at my library and logging in to watch my place in line go up! Of course, the best thing is being first on the list - I always feel like I've won something when that happens!
- Itunes - being able to download silly old songs and sing along (when nobody is home, of course) makes me feel like a kid again!
oh my gosh, your going to kill me! I am so so so so so excited for you to try them! Ok, I'll be patient because I really like your reasoning :) 2 1/2 weeks, I can wait.
ReplyDeleteI had a jelly filled donut this morning - accidently left in for 40seconds and the jelly ooozed all over the plate. Licked the plate but good FYI, only do 30 seconds to avoid plate licking.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
Plate licking? I would totally do that!
ReplyDeleteOh my...I wouldn't trust myself with those donuts. Especially the cinnamon...they do look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI love your logic on waiting to eat them, that takes some staying power! I guess that is what a YEAR of living the good life will do.
ReplyDeleteBoy do they look yummy!
ReplyDeleteThis is the 2nd doughnut i've seen in the last 30 minutes!
ReplyDeleteDoughnuts are of the debil!!! :-)
I wanted to leave a comment yesterday, but my computer was wigged out - CONGRATS! You look so great!
ReplyDeleteI want a donut too but the pancakes this morning were pretty tasty. Maybe I can figure out an organic gluten-free creamy-"filling" to top them with! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're going to love them, and waiting 2 1/2 weeks for one at a time will be just fine.
Great going! Vee at www.veegettinghealthy.blogspot.com
Wow, impressive willpower with the donuts.
ReplyDeletePaco the Wonder Dog sounds like a real sweetie.
I want one!!!! Please?
ReplyDeleteGreat willpower. That's what makes us strong. But I'll be waiting with baited breath to see how they taste in 2 1/2 weeks :o)
OMG! I can not believe that someone else does the library thing. That is so totally me. I would say that the DVR is one of my faves also.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at the those donuts, I thought to myself, man, I would have to be really careful with those! Way to go....You are a ROCK!
Can I come over to your house for breakfast?
ReplyDeleteThose donuts look unbelievably good - can't wait to read your review after you've tried them. And congrats on waiting the 2 1/2 weeks - that is some serious willpower!
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with our donut resistance! I love your list. I have 5 tubes of Burts Bees at all times. Car, purse, house upstairs, house downstairs and work. I also love how easy it is to put our dogs to bed. After the treats are given, It's almost like we've unplugged them :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list. Just seeing what makes you happy makes me smile. Sometimes it is hard to remember to think about all the ways that we are blessed and the little things that make up our happiness. Thanks.
