WWU - Zip, Zero, Zilch

Old me would have been embarrassed to post that I've done zero exercise in the last week, but new post-herniated disc, post-seizure, post-concussion me?  I'm just amazed that I'm getting back to a regular life, even if all that means is I'm getting myself up and dressed with makeup, lunch made and packed, to go to work three days a week.  I know I know, it's not much compared to most people, but I'm giving myself grace when it comes to getting back into the groove of things.

Besides, it's been really cold and rainy and who wants to get out in that?

Anyway, I didn't get up at 5:15 am to go have coffee and cruise to job sites with Jimmymeow on Saturday (I still wasn't feeling great from my cold plus he ended up going to a swap meet to sell some stuff), but I did go to Blue Baker with Jeff, where we got to watch Logan have fun with some dough that the baker gave him:
Just watching the bread being made at first - Aiden wasn't all that into it but was enjoying being cuddled by Karen.
I'd say it's fascinating for kids to watch the bakers do their magic but honestly we enjoy it, too.
Pat it out...
But don't bake it - with encouragement, Logan was ready to throw it to Andi.
See?  She showed him where to aim, and with a small piece of dough...
He hit his mark!  You can see the baker laughing in the background.  With the amount of times the dough hit the floor the hardest part was keeping Logan from licking his fingers.  Eventually he was done, everything was cleaned up, and he moved on to coloring.

So yeah.  Exercise?  Not so much.  But fun?  Tons of it!

  2. I'm sure you know that you don't need to compare your new routine to anyone else's, or even to your past self. Stuff happens and not exercising is okay, I promise. All of that said, if I got dressed in real clothes AND makeup even once a week THAT would be an accomplishment, so you're way ahead of me there :)

  4. Aww, now I want to play with a dough ball!

I know your exercise is so much different than it was a year and a half ago, but you are already doing so much more than when your back started hurting! Bit by bit!

  5. Well, I for one, am glad you are going slow on re-exercising. Also, I had a cold last week, and I barely did anything. I did take a couple of shortened walks :)

  6. God bless babies! They can certainly take your mind off your troubles, can't they? And I, for one, am quite impressed that you're able to work at all while dealing with all this medical mess. Hang in there!
