FMM - It's a Full-Fledged Mishmash Today!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you something that has been 35 years in the making:
Towels folded in thirds!

Why is this so noteworthy?  Because I've tried to get Jeff to fold towels in thirds for our entire marriage, and he never got it.  But now, thanks to his additional housework duties, he's been folding a lot more towels and after one last lesson from me, I came out to see this glorious stack!  In case you're wondering why it's such a big deal, it's because they fit better in our cabinets this way...and I don't have to refold them.

Not helpful USPS, not helpful:
Informed delivery isn't always informative.

Big Bang Theory fans will get this:
It's a TIARA!!!

******************

I got my blowfish a friend:

A little jellyfish made from a real sea urchin shell and an air plant!

Have a great weekend!

  1. How cute is that blowfish and jellyfish? Wherever did you find that?

Our local post office is THE WORST. Last winter we went for days without getting mail. Still have days we don't. Sketchy mail delivery people not wearing uniforms. Missing mail.

    1. I bought the blowfish when I was in California several years ago, but the artist has an etsy shop - search Cindy Searles on etsy and you can see all the cool things she makes. I got the sea urchin jellyfish recently when we went to a succulent nursery nearby.

Oh, we recently went from a regular USPS mailperson and truck to a street clothes-wearing person driving a private vehicle, with a magnetic Rural Delivery sign on the door - how are we suddenly rural after 19 years??

  2. I hope you have a nice weekend! There is a tropical system that may or may not bother us here this weekend.

    1. There are several Big Bang Theory episodes that I love, but the tiara one tops them all. Have you noticed that she wore the tiara for every big event after that? Howard and Bernadette's wedding, her wedding (of course), the Nobel prize ceremony...I love that they kept it going even though it wasn't referenced directly again.

  4. Woohoo! A fun mishmash for sure! Jeff figures out the folding it in thirds when he had to put the towels away himself!!! :)

    1. Haha, that's exactly right! He told me that he couldn't fit the towels in the cabinet...so I showed him the magic trick ONCE AGAIN, and it clicked. Plus he's pretty proud, as evidenced by him leaving that stack out so I could see it.

  5. I thought about getting those usps notifications but I worry that it will ruin the surprise during the holidays. Does that happen with you and Jeff?

    1. Not really; if a package is coming I get a tracking number but I can't tell who sent it.

  7. OMGosh - the towels in THIRDS people! Hubby still is hit or miss on that one, and it just gets on my last nerve! Congrats on successfully training...um, er...happy that Jeff got the hang of it for you :-) And I love the blowfish & "jellyfish" - I should look into that for Princess Marine Biologist! Have a great weekend, Shelley.

  8. I have that USPS informed delivery. I like it, but it doesn't make me leave my house to go pick up the mail unless I am going out anyway!
