This Really Isn't a Post

I have a list of things to blog about, and I will get to them one of these days, but read below to see why you're not really getting a post today - it's more of a peek inside my scrambled brain:
I started decorating for Christmas and set out this picture of 18-month-old me with Santa and noticed how badly it's faded.  Decided to remove it from the frame and take a picture of it and see if I can add a filter to enhance the 50+ year-old photograph.
I forget what filter this was, but it's better.  Then I tried it in black and white...
I like this one, too.  Now I need to crop the pictures and send them to Walgreens so I can have newer prints.  Add picking them up to my list.  Oh wait, they probably won't fit into the current frame - add that to my list as well.
I put together this fun little centerpiece but then remembered that I was going to use a silver tray for it.
Took out silver tray and realized it's gonna need polishing.  Went to garage cupboard for silver polish and while there, remembered that the spray bottle of my Bona floor cleaner needed refilling, so I grabbed both of them as well.

Well damn, silver polish really works!
Started playing with new centerpiece when I realized that I don't have enough tiny ornaments for tray.  And also maybe these trees would look cute with my new Elf tableau.  Went to Target for more ornaments and tiny trees.
Spent a few minutes playing around with this and OH HECK YES!  I love it so much.  And there is a method to how I set out all of the characters (which were gifts from Sam, Allie, and Allie's boyfriend Andrew, who found the elusive Narwhal for me) - I had the Santa's workshop birdhouse already, so Papa Elf is closest to it, with Buddy holding the scary Jack-in-the-box next, with Jovie nearby because she's in her elf outfit.  Then the trees in the background and Mr. Narwhal representing Buddy's journey to New York City to find his father; and finally, Buddy holding a bottle of maple syrup waiting for a plate of spaghetti.

And that's why I have nothing to post.

  5. OMG, I laughed so hard I nearly .. well, let's just say I had to cross my legs. I feel your time warp. I spent 30 minutes this morning looking for a stocking stuffer I had in my hand 15 mins earlier. THIRTY minutes!
