Happy New Year - 2019!

We have a lot to catch up on, but I've been coughing my lungs out for a week (I have a doctor's appointment later this morning) and I'm tired, so for now I'll leave you with pictures of my happy sleeping animals, which, I'm pretty confident, is how Jeff and I will be looking when the clock strikes midnight tonight.  There are no party animals in this house, not even the animals:

I turned on the heated mattress pad for them and they were OUT.

  1. I'm sorry to read that you are sick, hopefully your doctor can fix you right up with something to kick the cough to the curb. My husband and I spent last Thursday and Friday feeling yucky like we had the lightest touch of colds. We were lucky it didn't get worse both of us are back to feeling normal.
Get better quick! Happy New Year to you.

  2. Boo to being sick!!! It’s going around...I’ve been felled with a sickness also!!!

As for New Year’s Eve? Jason and I laughed this morning and both agreed that we probably wouldn’t even try to make it to midnight...because it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that we had no hope of making it!!!

  3. It really stinks to be sick during the holidays. I hope you get some relief!

I’ve planned our usual NYE celebration. This year we’re having a fancy meal instead of a bunch of appetizers. But if we maintain the status quo, the closest we’ll get to seeing the ball drop will be if we fall asleep on the sofa the wake up around 12:05 lol.

Happy New Year to the entire Shelley household!

    1. Yeah, I pushed through everything but that's probably why I didn't get any better - not enough rest? It was worth it, though - we all had a ton of fun over Christmas. :)

  4. I'm laughing because that is exactly what Cocoa looks like right now! Oh to be a pet....

I sure hope you are feeling better soon. I'm not sick so I have no excuse, but we will be sleeping by 10! LOL

  5. Oh, that's no good--coughing is just so tiring! And the heated mattress pad--I bet they love it! There are three doggie beds surrounding the wood stove. I can hardly get to it to start a fire in the morning!
