FMM - Insert Title Here

(all of my creativity must be going toward knitting as I couldn't think of a title for this post)

I have a little knitter ADD going on right now - so many projects, so much I am casting on or getting ready to once the correct size needles are free from a current project; I would say that my knitting mojo has returned in full force!  This is the state of my desk right now:
It's times like this when I miss my longer desktop...

I'd show you a picture of my coffee table that is covered with current projects, but some are gifts so I can't spoil the surprise just yet.  I'm really enjoying knitting everything plus I'm doing a couple of new-to-me techniques which is keeping me on my toes.  I'll share most of the finished projects in January - I do have a hat and some socks that I made for myself, but no pictures of them yet.

With no knitting pictures to show you, I have room for some cuteness:
Logan going for a stroll down the middle of the street, with dad close behind, of course.
He took a long drink from his cup and when he set it down, I said "ahhhhh" to him, and then he kept "ahhhhh-ing" back as we all encouraged him.
Jimmymeow gonna lose that finger if he's not careful!
The lure of the steps at the back of Blue Baker is strong for every Renegade baby - both Logan and Mason are drawn to them as soon as they're set free from the high chair.
This is what Jeff and Logan do every Saturday:  fist bump explosion.  They've worked up from the standard high five to this; I have no idea what is next, but it's cute to watch them interact like this.

Tomorrow, if it's not raining(!) I will run a few miles.  If it is, nope.  And on Sunday, I'll be spectating most of our group who will be running the Nutrabolt half marathon/10K.  Yes, our marathoners have reached the point in their training where they are running a half marathon.  I'll be happily watching from the sidelines, thank you very much.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Hopefully you are back to feeling normal by now. I'm glad for you that you found your knitting mojo.
I bet it will be fun to spectate that race, getting to cheer every one on.
I hope you are able to get your run in tomorrow.
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Laughing at the comment like your desk is some state of mess LOL. What does that clothes hanger thingie do that your yarn is wound around? Is it better to unwind it from the skein before using?

    1. It is a skein holder, that I use to unwind the yarn from as I wind it into a cake (with another little piece of equipment, it's under the stein winder in the picture). I'd wound a few skeins and need to get that one wound as well, but I wanted to get started with the newly-wound skeins so there it sits, mocking me. ;)

  3. I think it's great that you guys have a race built into your training schedule. I think it breaks the monotony of just slogging out the miles. Marathon training is tough so every little thing helps.

If you're running you must be feeling better - good news!

    1. Yeah, they were going to have two half marathons to run in their training, but the race in San Antonio got moved. I agree, it will be nice for them to do something different and run in a different area for a change.

I am feeling better, just coughing all night long from post-nasal drip.

  4. Woo hoo that your knitting mojo is back! I am knitting more in the evenings this week. I'm a little bored with my embroidery, so the knitting projects are getting first place! Have fun at the races!!

    1. It's nice that you have so many craft options to ease into when one gets a little stale! For me, socks are my routine knitting and everything else is my "wait a minute, I have to think about this for a hot second" which is good to keep me on my toes.

  7. I don't think my comment posts when I am on my phone. Since I did comment here TWICE.

I miss you knitting pix so post away.

My knitting mojo should return since boating season is over.
