So speaking of blogging, I've been blogging for nearly three years now and there are still some things I don't understand. For example, what is "reblogging" and why are people doing it? I get Google alerts that so-and-so has reblogged my blog - why? When I've clicked on the link, it just shows a bunch of people reblogging - what does that mean? It's not like when I link to another blogger while I'm writing about them - this is just a list.

My BIF Helen has had to listen to me whine and moan about my ankle for four months now and while I'm sure she's sick and tired of it, she has been nothing but supportive. Look what I got in the mail from her yesterday:
A homeopathic remedy for bone trauma - you never know...these might be the magic cure-all pills I've been hoping for! I took a dose (five tiny pills that you let dissolve in your mouth) - they taste like the candy medicine that used to come in the play doctor kits! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they worked? Fingers crossed!!!

Bought my first cherries of the season yesterday - at first I balked at the price, but you know what? It's fruit. I don't think twice about what I pay for frozen yogurt, so why do I when it comes to something as healthy as fruit? I don't understand my logic sometimes.
It was a rainy day so I put the dish by the window for some natural light. Oh, and this is just for show...I ate way more than 10 cherries!
Nosy Parker strikes again...
Paco was convinced that he was getting some cherries when I was done taking their picture - see the smile on his face? Poor dog was denied - well, he got a cookie. These babies were all mine!

OK, that's it for today - hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back on Monday with some pictures of the graduate!
Congrats to your winner Kim...great name! And wow, a college graduate, how exciting for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteBIG congratulations to your son!!! Enjoy all the festivities. (loved the pictures of Paco!) All the best Shelley!
ReplyDeleteNow I am totally confused! Is Paco actually Parker?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Sam! Enjoy the day :D
ReplyDeleteThis is why I like wordpress, btw.
How fun!! Congrats to your son and enjoy the day!! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the graduation! Big step in Sam's life.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what reblogging is. When I had to choose a host when I started blogging I choose Wordpress because at that time it looked like it was the better choice for me.
And now I'm glad because Blogger has often problems. Sometimes I can't response to blogger blogs.
You're having your own domain I believe? You could check out Wordpress for blogging. I have my own domain too for which I pay a small amount per year but the use of Wordpress is free.
I saw cherries yesterday but they weren't Dutch and very expensive so I didn't buy them. Wait for the Dutch harvest because they also taste better.
I do that too with food - I complain it's expensive, but I'm willing to buy dessert or cocktails out for 6-8 $ a pop!
ReplyDeleteI just thought about it and I do the same money comparison. Light bulb moment. This morning I put back the WW ice cream treats and bought grapes instead. Same price.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the psot.
Go Sam! Your parents are so proud of you and thrilled that the tuition is DONE!
ReplyDeleteI do hope that Monday will also include some Fashion Friday pix.
I would not give a 4 legged creature expensive cherries, sometimes I don't want to give my minor 2 legged creatures expensive fruit.
Hooray for Sam and to you for producing a college grad ;) I hope Helen's magic pills work and I use that exact fiesta bowl (the ones I won from you!!) for my fruit and I always think of you. Have a GREAT weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right! In my "big girl" days I used to spend $7 at a fast food joint without a second thought. So now if I want to spend the extra money on organic stuff that is good for my body I should not feel bad, right?!?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I needed that.
Jennifer
Those red cherries against the blue look mighty scrumptious. I hope to get a hold of sour cherries for pie baking this summer.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your graduate. Can't wait to hear how your weekend went :)
GAH. Blogger not only shutdown but it didn't update my dashboard until today....
ReplyDeleteI suppose one of the 'treats' of only having to buy groceries for a big family with kids is that you can splurge on things sometimes if you want. Hey - there were lots of years that you didn't so I say go for the gold errrr the cherries.
At this point you have a graduate and are knee deep in partying! Can't wait to see the photos.
I took homeopathic meds after I fell..... we also give them to all the facelift patients for bruising!
ReplyDeleteHope those meds work and do it quickly! So sweet of Helen. :)
