FMM - The One Without a Title

Thanks for the comments on yesterday's post - today is going to be interesting for Sam and his fellow North Carolinians, I suspect.  Here's a picture of the GOATs ready and waiting to be put into use:
GOATs - generators on a truck.  He didn't sent a picture of the COWs...

Paco Prozac update:  After being on Prozac for six weeks, it seems to have finally kicked in more fully.  He's coneless!  We are all happy about that, including my shins that have been full of tiny bruises at Paco's cone height.  A couple of nights ago he jumped on our bed while we were reading and chewed on his Nylabone for quite a while - this is remarkable because he has not done that in months, and he used to love his bones.  It feels like we've got our dog back.  Between the Cytopoint injections for his allergies (which we are doing once a month right now) and the Prozac, his itching and chewing and excessive licking has stopped.  I am SO GLAD we switched vets.
He's so happy to have his cone off that he took both pillows for a nap!

We don't have much planned this weekend beyond running - and of course, some of this:
Right hand...
 Left hand...
Both hands!
It's so perfect that baby pumpkin muffin, as he was known while in utero, loves pumpkin bread.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I know its going to be a long day today as the storm is just now coming a shore. I along with most Americans are hoping that the news media has blown this out of proportion again and that the storm won't be as bad as they are predicting. Sounds like Sam is prepared. I'm praying that come Mondays blog the update will be that Sam came through safe and sound. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts.

  3. What Mary Fran said.

Are you actually going to try to run this weekend? I know you're anxious to get back to it.

    1. I am going to run! It won't be a lot, and it will be slow and careful, but I am healed enough to run, yay!

  4. When I worked in the hospital, we had COWs but they changed the name to WOWs (workstation on wheels) so as not to offend anyone. (insert eye roll)

I'm so glad to see Paco feeling better! We are at a new vet with Cocoa--when we put Cleo down, we went to this vet instead of her usual one and liked it. It's a teaching practice, so I feel like we are getting really updated treatment.

    1. Lord. I like COWs. And GOATs. I wonder if they have any other animal acronyms for equipment?

  5. Glad Paco is done free! We use to give our dogs Nyla bones but have you ever stepped on a stray piece of nyla bone? It hurts! We don't buy them anymore...haha

    1. I bet that hurts! Paco seems to shred them so minutely that we haven't had that issue, thankfully.

  8. I'm glad Flo didn't hit as a cat 3, but still so much rain. How is Sam's house (and him) holding up?

Great news about Paco. It always seems funny to give animals "people" drugs, but biology is biology.
