WWU - We Have a New Renegade!

I finally got to run yesterday, after missing out on our Saturday run thanks to all of the Harvey rain.  I was getting a little antsy, to tell you the truth; I'm sure that also stemmed from being inside for days, so a run was just what I needed.  Jeff, Diane, and I did our usual neighborhood route and while we ended up stepping in some deep puddles, it was totally worth it.  Plus, we had a nice northern breeze, so even though it was still 72 degrees and of course, incredibly humid, this was the coolest run we've had in months.

This morning Jeff, Diane, and I ran once again - we did 2.23 miles.  Why that specific number, you might be wondering?  Well, it happens to be the time of birth - 2:23 pm - of our newest little Renegade!  Cary and Brian are the proud parents of baby Logan, and I got to sneak in a visit with him last night:

Both mother and baby are doing great and we are all so very happy that Logan has arrived!  When we are further along with our training, we'll do a Logan's Run for his birth weight, which was a healthy 8 lbs, 9 oz...we're not quite up to that just yet, but a special run will be dedicated to him in the coming months.  Ahhh, new babies.  They really are so special, and sweet Logan is just adorable.

    Wow, glad you got outside, even with the puddles. And gotta say, for being brand new born, that is a very cute baby! His hat is pretty cute too :)

    Logan's Run! (Am I the only person who remembers that movie?) He's adorable.

    I was wondering if you guys were completely stir crazy yet. So glad you got a run in and that the rain is coming to an end.

      Jeff and I remember the movie (well, him more than me thanks to Farrah Fawcett being in it LOL), but Brian and Cary weren't familiar with it. Still, great name for the birth weight run, right?

    Aww, congrats! I love the time of birth run and the idea for a birth weight run! And I am happy you could get out of the house and that it felt so cool. YAY!

    It's probably the most rain you've seen in months - the pictures I see on the news probably don't do it justice on how bad it is in Texas - glad you weren't hit too bad.
