FMM - No Black Friday Here

I know that today traditionally signifies the start of holiday shopping, and there's that whole Black Friday thing that has gotten completely out of hand (don't even get me started on stores that are now opening on Thanksgiving for these deals), but today, both of my kadults are home and we're just enjoying having our family together.  So no real post; just a quick hello, hope your Thanksgiving was good, and I'll see you next week!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. You know: I know. We are having black Friday sales deals here too, how ridiculous is that? We don't celebrate Thanksgiving but the economy tries to convince us that we need a black friday too.

Enjoy the quality time with your kiddos. Have a great weekend.

  4. I can also confirm that Black Friday exists in Berlin. Turkey? No. Pie? Forget it. Shopping? Oh yes.

  5. I can't think of a single thing that I would want bad enough to dive into the Brown Thursday/Black Friday madness. And actually I much prefer Small Business Saturday - rather give my $$ to a local merchant if at all possible.

Enjoy your time with those kids - I'm not even getting to see mine until Saturday afternoon and they'll only stay overnight then leave early Sunday. How dare these adult children do whatever they want?!!

  6. Enjoy your family time! I don't shop the big stores, but I do local shopping on this weekend -- and I'm selling, too LOL!

  8. Ah, spending time with the family. I won't see the family I'm visiting with at traditional Christmas, so we did equal parts shopping, walking, games, and a meal out.

I was pleasantly surprised that family my age and I are very close to the same food template. Such awesomeness, since I know it will bring them good health.

Can't beat spending time with my family. You just never know when you'll get that chance again. Enjoy and safe travels to all.
