Lovely...?
Our driveway looked like this, too. We don't have any pine trees growing in our area, so it looks pretty stark and desolate when it's an overcast day. And we'll be moving those pot plants into the garage soon, to protect them from freezing temps, which will greatly enhance the curb appeal of our house - NOT. But hey, if we can keep the alive over the winter, it will be worth it, right?

Here's something bright and cheery:
A Fiestaware entertainment set!
This was a surprise arrival on my (leafy) doorstep a few days ago - a gift from my BFF in California! It's nice to have a friend who spoils you; I can't wait to use this set!

I attended a volunteer thank you luncheon at the hospital on Monday, where they gave out service pins and honored those who had 250 or more volunteer hours. It was a very sweet gesture, and it was nice to see most of the volunteers all in one room - usually we're coming and going at different times on different days. Here's my pin:
I love it!
One of these days I'll have to dig up my old service pin from when I was a candystriper - I think I know where it is, but I have presents to wrap! No time for nostalgia right now. Oh and by the way, "candystriper" has a red squiggly line underneath, so I right-clicked to see how they wanted me to spell it...STRIPTEASER was the suggestion! LOLOLOL. Please, spellcheck - we were innocent young high school girls!!! (And I know my BFF is laughing her head off right now, remembering the escapades we had as candystripers - but rest assured, there were no stripteases performed!)

OK, I have to go and get some stuff done. We are traveling to North Carolina soon for Christmas, so I'm a little crunched for time. Have a great weekend!
How nice that they organized a luncheon, appreciation for your hard work.
ReplyDeleteKeeping it short here too because my annual Christmas lunch at work is about to start.
Have a great weekend sweety.
What a fun, fun gift! That's probably why she's your BFF lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip to NC - try to eat some pork BBQ for me while you are there :D
That would be fun to find that pin and wear both of them the next time you volunteer :D
ReplyDeleteTravel safe!
You still had leaves on your trees?! Jealous! Ours have been bare since early November!
