Spy mode: engaged
I upgraded my phone last week - moved up from an iPhone 4S to an iPhone 6, woohoo! I finally have LTE coverage, and I'm amazed at how fast this thing is. But the coolest feature on it? The fingerprint security access. Now, I didn't even have a security code on my old phone, and I really don't need it on this one...but I couldn't resist setting it up, and I have to admit, I feel like a spy every time I unlock my phone with my thumbprint.
Anyway, here's the fix:
It's a small thing, but it made me much happier.

Remember that telecom magazine that I was featured in? They sent me a link to the article so you can read it online, if you'd like - click here for it. Nothing like extending my 15 seconds of internet fame!

Paco missed us when we went to Houston, even though he got to play with his favorite dog friend, Ginger, while we were gone. We'd only been home a couple of hours when Jeff went to go read in bed. I was still at my computer, writing my race recap, when he texted me this picture:
My junk was still on the bed, but he was blissfully asleep - I don't think he rests when we're gone. He's on patrol the entire time...someone has to keep watch, dontcha know!
Cool new phone! I have the Galaxy S5 which has the fingerprint option too. I did set it up but I didn't use it, somehow it didn't recognize my finger rightaway and when that happens I'm already annoyed with it LOL.
ReplyDeleteCool article, nice to read it.
Ah Paco, he must have been exhausted from guarding the entire weekend. Give him a hug from me.
This one had you do the sides as well as the front of your fingerprint - I can be at an angle and still unlock the phone.
DeleteJust gave Paco his Fran hug. He wanted to know where the Fran cookies were... ;)
Sorry Paco, Bella ate them :)
DeleteI went from the 4 to the 5S. I couldn't get myself to pay the 6 price. Why they did away with the 32 gig option makes no sense to me! And I think you should have the exact case you want!
ReplyDeletePaco is too cute... relieved his people are home!
I got the 16 gig but that's what I had before, so I'm happy with it. :)
DeleteWhat a great article! I will be sharing that link with someone that I know could use some inspiration! Cool that you got a new Inspector Gadget phone...lol. I don't even know what LTE means so that shows you how not techy I am!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I know all too well about poor painted choices. It's actually funny that you mention seafoam green cus I think that is my husband's new color word now. I didn't think he knew any other shade of green besides "green". Now that we are re-decorating the house he is using terms like "seafoam green", where did that come from?..lol -M
I only was aware of LTE because my husband and friends had it, and their phones were so much faster when trying to connect to the internet. Picture a bunch of us standing around checking weather radar on a Saturday morning...and there's me and my phone, still with nothing, while everyone else had the data. Now I'm one with the data, LOL!
DeleteOh, and that's too funny about your husband, but don't let him actually CHOOSE seafoam green. You will regret it. ;)
Great article!! Paco was like guard duty is over, you guys take it from here!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much it - he abdicated his duty as soon as we got home!
DeleteHaha on the paint! Okay, I shouldn't laugh. This is why I sample pot everything and really look at it. Only one time have I changed my mind halfway through painting a room - that was years ago and the color was just too dark and it got overwhelming the farther along I got.
ReplyDeletePaco says "I am so, so glad my humans are home!"
Back in the olden days, they didn't do sample paint pots; I always do them now...learned my lesson, LOL.
DeletePaint--that was my reaction when J. was painting the dining room AND the bathroom! Fortunately, they both did look a lot better when he was done.
ReplyDeletePhones-- I just got the 5something. It had the thumbprint thing--I was skeptical, because we had that on the drug cart at work, and it was a pain in the butt. Already,I am getting irritated at it when it says"try again"
Don't tell Paco, but I think my little guys sleep at least 24hours a day when I am gone. Of course, Noah has to guard the trainer's property when I board him, and then there is all new stuff to guard when he gets home! And then he sleeps for four days :)
I remember your paint trepidation, but your colors looked great. There was no getting around seafoam. UGH, even just typing that name makes me queasy!
DeleteI can imagine Noah loving new stuff to guard. And love that he has to sleep off his "vacation" - but I guess we all kind of feel like that.
What a great article Shelley. You must be so very proud of your many accomplishments! You're such an inspiration to me. Cheers for a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks - and yes, cheers to an excellent week!
DeleteThe article was awesome Shelley! Aw, poor Paco - glad he's happy you are home again. I am really enjoying Hannah's dogs - next month will be the two year mark that we put Ed down. :(
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting some good dog time with Hannah's pups!
Delete(((THREE CHEERS FOR EXTENDING YOUR INTERNET FAME!)))
ReplyDeleteLOVE the internet fame Shelley!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! (and "awww Paco")
