Continuing to enjoy the long weekend with Jeff - we had a long run on Saturday, saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in a packed theater where, as Jeff joked, many Jitterbug phones were turned off at the beginning of the movie, ate fresh corn on the cob and watermelon for dinner, checked out some new running routes, and today have a short run on tap, followed by more relaxing, enjoying the warm weather, and quite possibly, a sno cone later on. Life is good, and I'm grateful for those who gave so much in the service of our country.
When having days like this, life is definitely good. Enjoy the extra day off Shelley, I'm doing the same as you because I have an extra day too.
ReplyDeleteDid you like that movie, Shelley? I sort of thought about seeing it (Downton Abbey peeps in there!)
ReplyDeleteI loved it - probably should have included that tidbit in the post, eh? Maggie Smith was just fantastic...really, they all were. Worth seeing now. :)
ReplyDelete& Jeff's jitterbug comment was hilarious. :)
DeleteSounds like a great weekend, and there's still today! Tom and I are planning to see that movie - I hear it's great. Young gun son leaves today - we're taking him to the airport in a couple of hours. Get over this hurdle and then a late after movie. Mmmm - a sno-cone!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a snow cone in ages! Enjoy the day with Jeff!
ReplyDeleteLOL Jitterbug comment!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holiday!
I want to see that movie! Not playing in our little town yet. I might have to go to the big city to see it! You are SOOO making me want watermelon and corn on the cob!
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day Shelley!!! Hope you and Jeff enjoyed your holiday Monday. Cheers to that with a wedge of watermelon!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you two had an amazing RELAXING day.
ReplyDeleteours was family filled.
xo
Hope it was awesome! Ours was great, but now methinks it's time to do a little less celebrating. Watermelon was by far the healthiest thing I ate this weekend, some of the others are too embarrassing to mention!
ReplyDeleteCut into my first watermelon this morning and I wasn't thrilled. Why is it that TX seems to get good ones and we don't?
ReplyDeleteI want to see that movie, along with many others. We never seem to have the time to go to the movies anymore and end up seeing everything once it's out on DVD.
We grow them here...but honestly, I'm pretty sure Texas can share their watermelons!
DeleteSounds like a nice couple of days!
ReplyDeleteYay for watermelon--the 3 of us polished off half of a big one yesterday. Loved your flag picture.
