Happy New Year!

It's time to say a fond farewell to 2014 and give 2015 a hearty welcome...although knowing me, I'll be asleep before midnight tonight.  We do plan on ringing in the new year by uncorking...er, uncapping the bottle of Cheerwine that we brought back from North Carolina - yes, Cheerwine, the soft drink of the south.  Unconditional?  Sure...but then, why be normal?
Hopefully it's aged well...
Oh yeah, I am ready to PAR-TAY!

We'll follow up our wild night of partying (haha) with a little 5K run on New Year's day with some of our running club peeps - ever since I started my journey (to fit!), I like to reinforce my healthy ways by exercising on the first day of the year - start things off on the right foot, so to speak.

Have a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year - see you in 2015!

  1. Happy New Year to you too Shelly! I'm sure we will be asleep too before midnight. I plan to exercise today and the next two days for a total of five for the week.

  2. Happy New Year my dear Shelley!

I will be awake till midnight but am glad we are staying home. They are already shooting a lot of fireworks here and Bella is not really afraid of it but she doesn't like it too much either.

I follow your good example and will start the new year tomorrow with a run. What better way to start over (yes again) with running on the first day of a new year.

Hope you have a nice evening together.

  4. We're partying like mad too - at home. I sort of look forward to NOT going out. I might just make midnight if I drink a boatload of caffeine around 3-4 pm LOL!

I'm planning on running in my fabulous hat and pretty matching running jacket tomorrow morning. Very important that I coordinate since it will be daylight.

Happy New Year to the entire Shelley household, but especially to the main man Paco!

  5. Happy New Year Shelley! We were planning on doing the outdoor festivities tonight, but with temps in the teens it doesn't sound as appealing as movies and games inside :D

    Enjoy your 'wine'!

  6. I haven't had Cheerwine in YEARS! I'm going to SC for a 10k in March. I may have to stop somewhere and pick up some Cheerwine on my through NC!

I also plan on running today to start off the year right!
