Wednesday Workout Upda...Aww, Who Am I Kidding?

I've had no formal workouts, no running, not even a walk specifically for exercise...although I think our trek through Ikea late last week was definitely good for a couple of miles.  What I have been doing is the free stairmaster.  LOTS of stairs.  Sometimes I go up and down these:

Annnnd, sometimes I go up and down these:

I guess I've gotten a bit of an upper-body workout as well, with the lifting and moving of boxes...based on how sore I was for a few days, I'd say that I need to pay more attention to that part of my body when I workout - or maybe just not help anyone move again, haha!

I'm traveling home today, and then I'll leave again early Friday morning for a USAFit organizer's conference in Utah for the weekend.  Kind of ironic that I'll be going into that not having run in two weeks, but hey - life happens.  It's all good; I know that temporary things happen to get in the way of regular exercise, and I'm not stressing over this.   I'll be back to normal (well, as close to normal as I can get, lol) next week.

  1. Moving is exercise too (so is housework for that matter). So I'd say you worked out a lot this last week.

How cool that you are going to the conference. Are you going to organize this next year again? And what's the conference about? Please spend a post on that when you come back if you will. Have fun at it and safe travels home.

    1. Yes, I'll be the organizer again, with Amy being the organizer-in-training, which is why she's going to the conference with me. I'm planning on doing a post about our trip, for sure. :)

  3. LOL, I think Ann Lamott said that after you turn 50 you should always say NO to anyone who wanted help moving! Heck yeah, you got a TON of functional exercise in this week.

I can't believe you are leaving again so soon, but this next trip might be a bit more relaxing?

    1. Honestly, if he was just moving in the Dallas area, I wouldn't have helped. But I couldn't resist a new state!

  5. Safe travels home and to Utah! I count the stress of travel as exercise EVERY time, double when it involves airports :)

  7. I'm sure Sam really appreciates all the stair climbs you did! Poor Paco, you're barely going to be home and then off again. I'm pretty sure he's not going to like that! Safe travels and enjoy your conference!

  8. Yay for stairs! You sure have been traveling a lot. You need to get a little further north, though. Just sayin'

  9. Looks like I have these same stairs at my house and I always mean to utilize them more as a work out tool, but then I don't. Someday I will see the value in those stairs...lol

  10. And you are probably more sore from what you did to...than had you been running every day!!!
