Fiestaware Giveaway!

I know I said that last Monday would be the last of the giveaways for a while, but how could I pass up the offer to give y'all a chance at some Fiestaware?!? Answer, obviously, is that I couldn't...so here's the deal: Jason, from csn stores, which is a huge umbrella shopping organization with over 200 specialty web-based stores, contacted me about promoting one of their sites that sells stools - and in return, let me choose something from any of their online stores (within a certain budget). Now, I have to say that I've checked out their site and let me tell you, if you can't find a barstool there, it probably doesn't exist...they have tons of styles and sizes! If we ever move to a house with a kitchen counter that has a breakfast bar (or if my husband gets his way and remodels our kitchen counter to accommodate bar stools), I will definitely be perusing this site.

But, getting back to the giveaway, obviously something as large as a barstool wasn't in the budget...but I found some Fiestaware on one of their other sites, so today the giveaway is two fruit bowls in your choice of color(s)! They are little - measuring 6 1/4 ounces, but actually hold a nice serving of fruit (or nuts, or whatever your heart desires...) - I already own a couple of these, and this is what my morning dish of strawberries looks like in one:
I'm happy to report that this giveaway ships to both the U.S. and Canada (sorry international people) and all you have to do to enter is leave me a comment telling me what you would use the fruit bowl for. The winning comment will be drawn by random.org. Giveaway closes at 10:00 pm on Thursday, February 4; winner will be announced on Friday morning. Good luck!

FCC Disclaimer: Giveaway will be fulfilled by csn stores, who will also be sending me two fruit bowls as well!

I would use the bowls to eat my morning oatmeal. Thanks for doing the giveaways. Also I am reading the book you reviewed and gave away on Friday.

  3. I love Fiestaware! It *is* the perfect size for morning oatmeal, and I would likely bring it to the office to brighten up my work mornings :)

Your pic of the strawberries in there was wonderful - I wish our strawberries looked that good now!

  4. We had those bowls when I was growing up, but we called them monkey bowls! :) We used them for tiny side salads or to hold bones or empty shells when we had dinner.

Now I would use them for breakfast fruit, for sure. I wish the Fiesta sets I have had come with them; I adore monkey bowls.

  6. I'd use them for oatmeal as our current bowls are ginormous...but I'd have to get back to eating oatmeal. For now, I'd use them for my current favorite snack: large handful of baby carrots, 1/4c almonds and 1 Laughing Cow Light Cheese Wedge.

  7. I would definitely use them for my almonds and dried fruit. I would also put my grapes in there and used them for a side of raw veggies with lunch. Oh and yogurt and berries and many, many more things :)

  8. These would be the perfect size for my homemade yogurt parfait! (Glad you're getting a couple bowls just for sponsoring.)

  9. I'd have to use them for my current favorite dessert - shortcake with strawberries on top. Yum!

  11. Pretty! I love Fiestaware.

How about a generic answer: I'd use them for food! lol Cereal, cottage cheese, carrots--anything I use small bowls for.

I would also use them to enjoy them--because they are so pretty, if that makes sense.

  12. Every morning on my new life plan is truly a fiesta. The bowls would be the icing on the cake (whoops, fat girl talk again). Hard boiled eggs in one and fresh strawberries in the other. Thanks.

  13. I'm with Jo...I would use them for food. Gee, after tamporary tatoos food sounds BORING!

  14. I would use them for anything that I wanted to monitor my portion size. They would be perfect for that half cup of ice cream that is a true portion size. The bowls would make my 1/2 cup appear to be bigger than it looks when put in a big bowl.

  15. You are certainly right about allbarstools.com...plenty to choose from but I don't have a spot for one, either.

If it's not too late to enter the giveaway, I'd use the little bowls for lots of things like when I'm cooking or baking I try to have all my ingredients measured out in advance. These bowls would be great for that!

  19. I was just lamenting how I had no greek yogurt bowls since I no longer have to eat it out of tupperware. Plus they would match my Fiestaware canisters everyone is jealous of.

p.s. glad you are getting your own as well!!

  21. This is totally not Fiestaware related. LOL

I didn't know SA was having a rodeo. We were just going to stay at the Menger Hotel because it's supposed to be "haunted" and my kids have watched too much Ghost Hunters on TV. They want to see a ghost in action. LOL!!!! It's just a fun trip. Plus Lulu's has those 3 pound cinnamon rolls! Plus I just love SA. Come on, it's the Riverwalk. What's not to love? And then the Alamo? OH yeah.

  22. I would probably use it for a scoop of italian ice, or the chinese snack mix I am so found of but the serving size is so tiny I must measure it out!

  23. I think those bowls would be perfect for a serving size of cereal! I always try to use a smaller bowl, so I don't eat too much!

  24. OMG! CUTE bowls! What wouldn't I put in them? Nuts, egg, oatmeal... Have you seen my new love for all things cute and serving sized?

  26. I would use the fruitbowl to put one of those fitness books in - you know the books that I refuse to want that you sometimes giveaway? So in this case, I love Fiestaware but I don't want you to enter my name because I have Fiestaware already but not that lovely color shown in your photo.

And all these folks who are saying they'd put their oatmeal in them are not eating enough oatmeal (for my taste!).

My word verification is conduck so I think I might put some conduck in the other bowl. One bowl would contain a book that I don't have and the other bowl would contain conduck. Yummy!

  27. I love fiesta ware! Every time I see it at thrift stores I just drool!

If we had those in my house I know exactly how they would be used - for ice cream! My husband and daughter love ice cream, me, not so much. :D

    Happy Monday Shelley!

  36. Hi Shelley - I JUST filled my kitchen with Fiestaware and LOVE IT. But, I don't have these little lovelies so they'd be a great addition!

  37. How nice! I'd use them for either yogurt, fruit and flax meal or something I'd like to eat in small portions such as brown rice. Thanks! (Hope I win!...hehe)
